Our data

We use NHTSA recall data, the NHTSA vPIC VIN decoder, and EPA fueleconomy.gov. Data is refreshed periodically from NHTSA and EPA, but it may contain errors. Confirm information with the official source before relying on it.

When you use the VIN check, your browser sends the VIN directly to NHTSA’s public APIs. carrecallfacts.com does not store VINs.
